TOUR OF THE AUSTRIAN ALPS

paradise with the choice of over 100 different passes to
ride. Within easy reach of our 4* Hotel, is the Stelvio Pass
(2765 meters) voted by Top Gear as the best road in Europe .
Itinerary.
Saturday 28.8.10 Meet midmorning at Dover. Catch ferry to Calais. Ride through Belgium, into Germany & book in to our hotel in Cologne. A shower followed by an evening meal.
Sunday 29.8.10 (450 miles) Refreshed, we continue our journey through Germany, into Austria arriving late afternoon at the magnificent 4* Weissseespitze Hotel located in the Kaunertal region of the Tyrol – our base for the next five days.

The itinerary for the duration of our stay is not “cast in stone”. For the next four days everyone is free to explore this wonderful part of the world. Switzerland, Italy and Germany are all within easy reach and the mountain passes and lakeside roads offer some tremendous riding and stunning views. The hotel boasts a magnificent “Wellness Centre” with indoor swimming pool, sauna & steam room.
All of these facilities are available to the group at no charge. Bikes are parked in the underground parking area which also boasts facilities to carry out maintenance on your bike free of charge. So for the next four days the options are endless. After a sumptuous buffet breakfast check the weather conditions and maybe join one of our guided tours. We head off into the Dolomites enjoying the fantastic roads and clear fresh air.
We will sample some of the many mountain passes which number over one hundred! We might even “pop in” to Italy, Switzerland or Germany. All are within easy riding distance – even for the complete novice!
One thing is for sure when we return from our trip out we can enjoy a nice cool beer or maybe a swim in the indoor pool or a sauna. Tell other bikers about your day out and then into the restaurant for a sumptuous four-course evening meal.
On one of the days you may choose to don your hiking boots & join a conducted walking tour with an expert guide who will show you all the places of interest in this amazing region. Another option might be to jump on the bike and visit Füssen and the fairytale Castle of Neuschwanstein in Germany.
Friday 3 September Breakfast then it’s time to leave the Hotel Weissseespitze & head off back through Austria & Germany to our hotel near Frankfurt. Check-in, shower, then off to a local restaurant for an evening meal.
Saturday 4 September After an early breakfast we continue our journey through Germany & Belgium to Brussells where we spend our last night before catching the ferry from Calais.
Sunday 5 September Breakfast then a leisurely ride through Belgium to the port of Calais.A 90 minute ferry journey & we are back in the UK (Dover). The ferry docks at 14:00 hrs giving us time to have lunch on the boat then bid farewell to our fellow riders before making our way home.

Terms & Conditions
Payment.
A deposit of £99.00 per bike is required at the time of booking.
Cheques should be made payable to Stahlkoffer Limited.
All final payments MUST be received 60 days prior to departure.
Failure to comply could result in the booking being cancelled. The
due date will be noted on your invoice.
Cancellations.
All cancellations must be received in writing to 19A Baylie Street,
Stourbidge, West Midlands DY8 1AZ.
In the event of a cancellation the following terms will apply:
*Up to 60 days before departure, a full refund less £30.00 per person
will be paid.
* Between 60 days & 30 days before departure a 50% refund will be paid.
* Less than 30 days before departure no refund will be paid.
* If you are unable to travel you may transfer your booking to
another person provided 30 days notice is given in writing. In this
event both the transferer & the transferee shall be jointly liable for
the payment of the tour (or the balance) to Stahlkoffer Limited.
Passports & Visas.
A valid passport is required for all tours. A valid passport is a
passport with a minimum of six months duration prior to expiry
as at the date of your return.
If Stahlkoffer (Motorcycle Tours) Limited cancels any tour then a full refund
will be paid to all customers. Stahlkoffer (Motorcycle Tours) Limited
cannot, however, be held responsible in the event of war,
strikes, civil unrest, blockades or the failure of such as hoteliers
& ferry operators or other agents employed. In such circumstances,
however, Stahlkoffer (Motorcycle Tours) Limited will make every effort to
provide suitable alternative arrangements.
Stahlkoffer (Motorcycle Tours) Limited reserve the right to alter routes &
accommodation at short notice. In this unlikely event tour
members will be notified as soon as possible & will be offered
accommodation of the same or better standard or a
reasonable adjustment in cost.
